William S. Clayton, P.E., President

William S. Clayton, P.E. recognized the need for additional civil engineering services in the area and founded Clayton Engineering & Design in the summer of 2015. William worked in the field of Civil Engineering for 15 years, including national and regional companies, prior to starting Clayton Engineering & Design. He has extensive experience in civil engineering, including: site layout and design; storm drainage and detention; erosion control; site grading; Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspections; and Construction Administration. He has worked on residential, golf course, commercial, industrial, and municipal projects during his career.  William is also very familiar with guidelines of permitting and regulatory agencies, including NCDENR, NCDOT, & USACE. 

Randall Williams has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, with extensive experience in many aspects of private sector, commercial, and NCDOT construction, including but not limited to: Site Layout; Site Grading; Erosion Control; Storm Water Management; Utilities; Site Concrete; and Asphalt Paving. He has worked as a Project Superintendent, Project Manager, Estimator and General Manager. Randall is a Level II: Certified Erosion and Sediment Control/Stormwater Site Manager as well as a Level III: Designer of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans. He is certified in both North Carolina and South Carolina in Stormwater BMP Inspection and Maintenance. Randall is also a North Carolina Licensed General Contractor with Building, Highway and Public Utility Classifications.
